Aurora at Portable Gamma Spectrometry Event

Aurora staff, Jon Taylor and James Cairns, recently presented at an event organised by the Society for Radiological Protection (SRP) concerning Portable Gamma Spectrometry for Radioactive Waste Characterisation and as a Health Physics Tool.

The event was aimed at SRP members with an interest in waste assay and gamma spectrometry. The talks covered the scientific and practical aspects of gamma spectrometry, including the importance of prior planning, practicalities of in field planning, through to analysing results effectively. This was achieved through a collection of academic presentations and practical examples.
