Webinar on Non-Ionising Radiation Safety in the Workplace

The British Occupational Hygiene Society hosted an event, and Aurora are proud to have presented a talk on Non-Ionising Radiation (NIR) Safety in the workplace.

On 24th February, the British Occupational Hygiene Society’s event considered various aspects of the control and management of workplace health risks.

The Aurora webinar was delivered by Raj Bunger, who considered some of the challenges involved with NIR and discussed the actions that organisations should be taking in order to ensure they are compliant with the relevant legislation.

In particular, the Artificial Optical Radiation at Work Regulations 2010 (AOR10) and the Control of Electromagnetic Fields at Work Regulations 2016 (CEMFWR16).

Raj is a Director at Aurora Health Physics Services Limited (Aurora) and is a qualified Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA), Radioactive Waste Adviser (RWA), Laser Protection Adviser (LPA), & Non-Ionising Radiation (NIR) Specialist.

He provides advice and radiation protection services to a wide variety of clients across all sectors, including advice to corporate clients on how to implement robust radiation protection practices across multiple sites. His client base is varied and covers many sectors for both ionising and non-ionising radiation and includes the medical, industrial, academic, research and military sectors.
