Aurora March Team Meeting.

28 March 2024

A few weeks ago, the Aurora Team met for the first Aurora Team Meeting (ATM) of 2024.  The ATM helped to get the team together, have a good old catch up, and allowed us to enjoy some lovely Indian cuisine at the  Snooty Mehmaan, near Faringdon.

We were delighted to be joined again by Duncan White, from RSK.

During the ATM, the newest members of our Team talked about their experiences of working at Aurora to date. Saahim Khan, our newest recruit, introduced himself to the Team. Orneste Buitkute, who has been with us for 4 months, gave examples of the Site Projects she has been working on and how she has been working with and supporting other Radiation Protection Advisers (RPAs) and Laser Protection Advisers (LPAs).

There were presentations from other members of the Team, sharing their knowledge and experiences working on different projects so that we can all learn from each other.  We were privileged to have a sneak preview of James Cairns’ future presentation at SRP in May on the first 48 hours of investigating the Alexander Litvinenko incident.

It was also lovely to hear from team members about their personal experiences on recent trips to India, Nepal and Thailand. The images feature a Sadhu in Varanasi, tigers in Ranthambore, both in India, and an amazing experience at the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary in Thailand.

The first quarter of the year has got off to a great start at Aurora and we look forward to embracing what the rest of 2024 will bring.
