Steve Bramley

Site Manager & Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS)

Steve joined Aurora in February 2013 after working with the team as a contract surveyor for seven years. During this period, Steve has gained experience with many aspects of radiation protection from surveying to site manager, running projects for our customers.

Steve started work for UKAEA in 1985 as a programmer.  After moving into a support engineer’s role and being outsourced, he left Harwell in 2003 as an IT service and operations manager with 70 staff based on AEA Technology sites around the country.

In 2006, Aurora employed Steve as a trainee health physics surveyor on a contract basis.  This role grew following his Radiation Safety Practice City & Guilds qualification and continues to grow with Steve having worked on particle accelerator, cyclotron and synchrotrons decommissioning projects as well as environmental, laboratory and university surveys.
