Angela Yeadon

Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA), Radioactive Waste Adviser (RWA), Laser Protection Adviser (LPA), Non-Ionising Radiation (NIR) Specialist and Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA)

Angela is a highly experienced radiation protection specialist and joined Aurora in 2015. She provides ionising and non-ionising radiation protection services to clients across many sectors and is especially adept at safety assessments for electromagnetic fields and optical radiation. She is a member of SRP’s Electromagnetic Field and Optical Radiation (EMFOR) Committee, which acts as a focal point for NIR safety related issues within the SRP community.

After completing an MPhys in Physics at the University of Leeds, Angela joined the Health Protection Agency (HPA) in 2006. Angela took an interest in NIR safety and so in addition to becoming a certificated RPA, gained experience in advising on laser safety and became a certificated LPA. During her time at HPA Angela gained many years’ experience in providing radiation safety advice, covering ionising radiation, lasers and optical radiation, and electromagnetic fields.

Since joining Aurora in 2015, Angela has worked as an integral part of the team on a number of large projects. She routinely provides radiation safety advice to clients, particularly in the university, research and medical sectors, who have a variety of ionising and non-ionising safety issues.
