Ionising and Non-Ionising Safety Training for the Health & Safety Professional

The course has been designed for health & safety professionals who are in a management role where they support staff responsible for managing compliance with radiation protection legislation, such as Radiation Protection Supervisor or Laser Protection Supervisor. These professionals may not become involved with the day to day management of radiation protection practices, but an understanding of the requirements will help them to better liaise with appointed Supervisors; or recognise non-compliances and shortfalls in radiation protection.

  • Optical legislation, standards, and guidance
  • Optical risk assessments, control measures, and contingency plans
  • Risk assessments, control measures, and contingency plans for electromagnetic fields and waves
  • Legislation for electromagnetic fields and waves
  • Accident case histories for ionising and non-ionising radiation
