Aurora last month said goodbye to Neil Dorling, who leaves Aurora after almost 18 years.  Neil has been an incredibly popular member of the Aurora Team, and is a highly experienced Site Manager and Health Physics Surveyor with over 30 years of experience working as a Radiation Protection Technician.

Neil began as a Health Physics Surveyor for the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) and then moved to Safeguard International where he was the Facilities Manager at Culham providing storage, processing and incineration solutions for short lived radionuclides.

Neil joined Aurora in 2008 and became an essential part of the Aurora Site Services Team, leading and successfully completing a number of large scale radiological surveys and remediation products.  He also supported Aurora’s research and development activities, often coming up with novel solutions to improve Aurora’s capabilities.

He will be missed, and we wish him the best for the future.
