Aurora was thrilled to be invited to speak at NHC Procurement’s webinar ‘Your guide to identifying and treating radon gas’.

The webinar was aimed at housing associations, housing providers, local authorities and other public sector organisations looking to strengthen their understanding of how to identify, manage and treat radon gas risks.

Adam Scott, one of Aurora’s Radiation Protection Advisers, gave a presentation on the legal obligations of employers under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and the Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017 when dealing with radon gas. Other speakers on the day were Aaron Davidson from The Radon Consultants and Max Smeeth of Ridge and Partners LLP who presented on other aspects of assessing, and dealing with, the risk from radon gas in homes and workplaces.

Delegates had the opportunity to ask questions to the panel of presenters following the session and it proved a great forum for the sharing of information and learning.
