On 22^nd May, a number of  Aurora’s trainees had the opportunity to attend the United Kingdom Health Security Agency’s (UKHSA) Early Career Network, hosted by Laura Gerla, Environmental Survey Manager at UKHSA.

The event brought together early career radiation protection professionals (within UKHSA and Aurora), based on the Harwell Campus, provide with a  chance to meet others, and create a network over a coffee.

During the visit, the Aurora team were also given a tour of UKHSA’s Radiation Metrology Facility. Highlights included visits to the calibration facilities, which provided our trainees with an insight into how such a facility works.
