Respiratory Air Hood Training
This week, Aurora’s Paddy Copeland led a comprehensive training session for the team on the use of powered hoods for respiratory protection. The training covered key legislation and guidance, pre-use safety checks, and a hands-on practical session where each team member inspected and donned the hoods.
Respiratory protection is occasionally required when entering radiologically contaminated areas. These sessions not only reinforce critical safety procedures but also provide a valuable opportunity for team members to ask questions and build confidence. At Aurora, ensuring our team is prepared, capable, and calm in emergency situations is a priority — safety is about protecting both ourselves and those around us.
